Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

On March 7, 2009 Third Law BJJ participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.  Robert Sadaty, and his son Adam “Mario” Sadaty, Camilo Castro, Andre Arata, Roberto, and some friends (Team Third Law supporters Kate Lewis and Katy Bishop) took off together, but little Adam powered ahead smoking Andre and leaving the elders behind. The photos tell the story:

On the 3rd Annual 6K Run for The Paws Race Event (organized by the Humane Society)

Team Third Law took Robert Sadaty, Dominick Pisciotta, and Head Instructor Roberto Torralbas and met with some friends of the school to participate in a very fun event in which many runners ( also pet owners) race side by side with their pets. The pictures tell the tale. Robert Sadaty destroyed everyone from our group and did very well overall. See the results overall.

TL BJJ Naples, FL - Chirstmas Toy Collection

Third Law BJJ heard that the Guadalupe Center of Immokale was collecting toys and we decided to contribute. Lets recognize all the parents, students, and children who came together to participate in this good cause ( too many to name with out forgetting someone ;) ).

Robert and Roberto where planning to take it easy and what began as a jog discussing the Cuban government’s  medicine practices ended up being an all out race… (I believe we did the four miles under 33 minutes despite starting slow. That is  8 minutes mile average!!!…It was all Robert doing the pushing on this one…he hates to lose even at charity race…lol.

Ingrid and Brooke do the Naples Yearly Triathlon Sunday June 1, 2008!

Congratulations to Brooke Ingrid who did the Naples Yearly Triathlon this past Sunday (June 1st, 2008). It was a blast to see the whole event.

Moments before the Big EVENT!

Ingrid and Brooke Moments before the Naples Triathlon

The day began with Ingrid and Brooke leaving the competition in the dust. Roberto personally told them to take it easy that this was a fun event, but NO WAY, they wanted to win. The picture below is good proof of their determination.

And Off They GO!

The Bicycling section of the Triathlon was all Ingrid in her aero-dynamic bike she got custom design by Lance Armstrong, clearly an unfair advantage.

Brook Impressing The Crowd!

Third Law Martial Arts of Naples - Naples Triathlon

The swim was a breeze as the two of them kept distancing themselves from the competition. The gentleman behind them looking to the right (towards the sea) was winning the entire race until Brooke and Ingrid took over in the swimming section. Look how sad he is to get a second place finish. Meanwhile the champions split the gold medal!

Congratulations!

TL BJJ Naples, FL - celebrating after the Naples Triathlon 2008

In all seriousness it was really fun and the Triathlon was very intensive. These girls worked really hard during the entire race. It was very impressive and congratulations to everyone that participated in this event.
